Firewheel Christian Academy’s Intermediate School program prepares 4th-6th grade students to be responsible and independent, giving them a strong foundation, both academically and spiritually, for the years ahead. The mission of FCA is to provide children and their families with a safe, loving environment, maintaining quality leadership, utilizing developmentally appropriate material and activities, and interacting with the community.

Goals & Objectives

The goals of FCA’s Intermediate School are:

  • To provide a safe, loving environment for children
  • To teach children about God and His Son, Jesus Christ
  • To offer stimulating opportunities for creative learning
  • To develop social skills through adult and peer interaction

Curriculum

At FCA, we are continually assessing our curriculum to produce students who are able to compete academically and are prepared for high school and beyond.  Our teachers and students work together in an atmosphere of respect.  Utilizing creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, students learn in an academically-challenging environment.  FCA uses accelerated Christian-based curriculum to teach students the foundational principles of core subjects, including:

  • Literature
  • Grammar/English
  • Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • History
  • Critical thinking

Likewise, students are prepared with a Biblical foundation giving them a deeper understanding of God’s word.  Students will find many opportunities to strengthen their Christian walk through weekly Chapel, daily Bible instruction, and community outreach.  Students are offered a wide range of elective classes to enhance each student’s educational experience.
