Elementary School

Elementary School (k4-4th grade)

The Elementary School program at Firewheel Christian Academy provides students with a safe and loving environment where they can grow academically and spiritually. FCA’s Elementary School is dedicated to educating children K4 through 4th grade. Our teachers teach the foundational principles of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history using the Abeka and BJU Press. Additionally, Bible classes and chapel serve to reinforce and complement the daily emphasis on biblical truth in the curriculum.

Goals & Objectives

Foundational Literacy: Mastering Reading and Phonics

We are committed to establishing a robust foundation in reading and phonics, ensuring every student develops strong decoding skills, reading fluency, and comprehension. Our goal is to ignite a love for reading, equipping students with the essential literacy tools they need to unlock knowledge and explore God's world through the written word.

Biblical Understanding: Growing in God's Word:

We guide our elementary students in developing a foundational understanding of the Bible as God's inspired Word. Through daily Bible instruction, scripture memorization, and engaging stories, our goal is to help students grasp core biblical truths, understand God's love for them, and begin to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

A Safe, Loving, and Christ-Centered Community:

We are committed to creating a classroom environment where every student feels safe, valued, and loved. We foster a culture of respect, kindness, and grace, encouraging students to support one another as a family in Christ. Our goal is to model biblical community, where students can grow in their faith without fear and learn to resolve conflict with humility and compassion.

Academic Excellence: Cultivating a Love for Learning:

We strive for academic excellence across all subjects, fostering curiosity and a genuine love for learning. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that challenges students to think critically, solve problems, and develop foundational skills in mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts, all while recognizing God's order and design in creation.

Curriculum

Through challenging curriculum and the efforts of our exceptional teachers, students gain a foundation that will enable them to grow in wisdom and stature to be successful individuals now and in the future.
